PS5 VS Xbox two

Starting with the ps5 the main improvement over the ps4 is the built in ray tracing chip which is a AMD Navi GPU and it can reuse the programming that it made with apple, the next main big thing is the SSD which has been upgradable on the ps4 but nobody can be bothered too, and it is no normal SSD it is a PCI-E 4.0 link so it will be double the bandwidth of normal m.2 SSD`s and slamming SATA SSD`s. an example that I saw on euro gain 0.8 they said that it will load marvel`s spider man in 0.8 seconds as appose to the ps4 speeds which takes 15 seconds to load it. It is not a normal capacity 256GB SSD it is a 2 TERRABYTE!! SSD. Another thing it supports is the 8k I think that this will mainly be a future proofing it for the next 10 years when 8k TV`s become main stream, another feature they have added is 100gb optical disks, which I personally believe is a useless feature but some people might use it for buying every fortnite skin and storing all of them on a disk, the increase that will probably make the most difference is the hardware that means that it can support VR Play station have said “lighter weight, and easier to put on, less cables, less mess.”, another feature that nobody asked for is the 3d audio which is a great idea in theory. This also adds to the cinematic experience which means that you don’t have to get another Blu-ray player for watching movies, although we will have to wait if this is a useless feature or not. A thing that most people will love is the ps4 games backward compatibility with the PS4`s games, this is because it is based on the same CPU and GPU architecture. There are some rumours that there will be some sort of could compatibility we do not know if this is storage or if its connecting for higher performance gameplay using virtualisation Sony have said “we are cloud-gaming pioneers,” so this may be unnecessary hype but it might actually be something to get excited about. The ram is another thing to get excited about because although there may only be 4GB of ram for the operating system there is 24GB of GDDR6 ram this is double the amount found in the Xbox one X, this may mean that it is using the same kind of card as the Quadro m6000, while the ps4 pro only having 8gb of GDDR5 memory. The GPU

In the other corner we have the Xbox two or as some people know it “project Scarlett”. Firstly the CPU it is a custom eight core 86 bit 2.3GHz, this will probably mean that it will be good for games that can take advantage of all of the cores (for example simulation games), but something that is a dual or quad core game then it will probably not be as great, but I am highly looking forward to this because it means that you could use the ps5 as a PC for doing work as well because of the Brilliant CPU. Next is the GPU, we do not know exactly what GPU it is but we do know that it will be able to run 4k 60fps as standard, as appose to the Xbox one X`s

8k 120fps on some games that support it, this would probably mean that the desktop equivalent is a 2080 TI although it would be hard to justify the price of the 2080 TI for the average people that would be buying this console. The Xbox two will also have a SSD we are unsure of the capacity but it will probably be the same as the Xbox and this SSD will also be used as “virtual RAM” this probably be implemented well knowing Microsoft but if it is not then we could be in for some really slow loading character models, although this thing is probably not going to be slow, as they are boasting 4x performance from the Xbox one X although this is probably in cherry picked workloads so I would expect 3x performance in the average consumer workloads, although Sony have been good at this in the past

Now for the head to head Xbox two versus ps5, firstly the CPU the ps5 takes the win because it has a 8 core/ 16 thread CPU clocked at 3.2GHz, but the Xbox has the same eight cores and 16 threads but is clocked at 2.3GHz, so the ps5 will be good at workloads that do not scale across all 8 cores. Next the memory, the ps5 has 24GB GDDR6 video memory and four gigabytes of system memory for the operating system, but the Xbox has only 12 GB of GDDR5 RAM and 4 GB of ram for the system memory as well, so the ps5 again takes the point. They both have a 2 TB SSD although the ps4 pulls ahead because it is using a PCI-e gen 4.0 connection although the Xbox may be using the same one but they probably would have said by now if they had, so again the ps4 gains the point.

So the conclusion, I think that the ps5 takes the performance advantage over the Xbox but it may just come down to personal preference because both pieces of hardware can run nearly anything at the moment so the performance is so ahead of time now that they should all be able to run 4k 60hz so for most people it will be fine at this point in time, but if you would like to future-proof your purchase then I would recommend the ps5 because it means that if you upgrade your TV to 8k 60hz then the ps4 can probably handle the task (depending on the game). It also comes down to what you have had experience before in the past and who you know who is on their. I would recommend, if you have had a previous generation of one of these consoles (Xbox one or ps4) then go with their next generation equivalent because then it means that all of the games will be able to be carried across. So my final recommendation is, if you would prefer a certain console then go with that but if you have no idea of what to buy and you would like best performance go for the ps5, or get a decent gaming PC.

Introduce Yourself (Example Post)

This is an example post, originally published as part of Blogging University. Enroll in one of our ten programs, and start your blog right.

You’re going to publish a post today. Don’t worry about how your blog looks. Don’t worry if you haven’t given it a name yet, or you’re feeling overwhelmed. Just click the “New Post” button, and tell us why you’re here.

Why do this?

  • Because it gives new readers context. What are you about? Why should they read your blog?
  • Because it will help you focus you own ideas about your blog and what you’d like to do with it.

The post can be short or long, a personal intro to your life or a bloggy mission statement, a manifesto for the future or a simple outline of your the types of things you hope to publish.

To help you get started, here are a few questions:

  • Why are you blogging publicly, rather than keeping a personal journal?
  • What topics do you think you’ll write about?
  • Who would you love to connect with via your blog?
  • If you blog successfully throughout the next year, what would you hope to have accomplished?

You’re not locked into any of this; one of the wonderful things about blogs is how they constantly evolve as we learn, grow, and interact with one another — but it’s good to know where and why you started, and articulating your goals may just give you a few other post ideas.

Can’t think how to get started? Just write the first thing that pops into your head. Anne Lamott, author of a book on writing we love, says that you need to give yourself permission to write a “crappy first draft”. Anne makes a great point — just start writing, and worry about editing it later.

When you’re ready to publish, give your post three to five tags that describe your blog’s focus — writing, photography, fiction, parenting, food, cars, movies, sports, whatever. These tags will help others who care about your topics find you in the Reader. Make sure one of the tags is “zerotohero,” so other new bloggers can find you, too.
